Pep Guardiola admits he doesn’t know what will happen to Joao Cancelo at the end of the season. After letting the Portuguese national team full-back go on loan to Bayern Munich for the remainder of the football season.
The full-back became a hatred of the Spaniard for his attitude. His move has a £61 million buy-out clause. But there is no obligation that Bayern will be forced to buy him outright.
The player was allowed to leave the club after a problem on the training ground UFABET. With Cancelo unhappy about not starting the FA Cup fourth round tie against Arsenal.
But when asked at a press conference on Friday ahead of Sunday’s game against Tottenham Hotspur. Guardiola insisted the player had more minutes on the pitch than most players in the squad.
Pep Guardiola said.
“First of all I wish him all the best over his four months.”
“Next season I don’t know what will happen. He has been an incredible player in the last two times we’ve won the league.
“After the World Cup We are ready for pre-season. And decided to play in a different way I like what I have seen I’ve given more playing time to other players with his personality. He loves to play. He trains at his best in situations where he doesn’t play much.
“In the past year He is one of the players who has the most minutes on the field of any player. He must play to be happy. We have decided to let him go to Munich.”
However, Guardiola has refused to speak ill of the player. And still insist that Cancelo is a great player.
“If Bayern Munich want Joao, it’s because he’s a great player. I will not speak badly of his work, passion and skill.
“Everyone knows about it. It happened a day or two before the deadline. I am always satisfied with the team. when not sure It’s better to have money in the treasury. And not being criticized for overspending.
